Further parking permits

Parking management in Neukölln starting February 1st, 2024

The district of Neukölln is introducing parking management on February 1st, 2024. The parking zones 105 (Reuterkiez) and 100 (Flughafen-/Donaukiez) will be launched simultaneously. Further parking zones will follow.

The municipality of Neukölln had to postpone the launch of parking management in order to ensure legal compliance and proper procedure in the process. Parking permits that are processed by the “Straßenverkehrsbehörde” will be handed out in time for the new launch date. They will be valid starting on that day.

Parking permits for shift workers

Requirements:

Shift workers, whose shifts begin significantly before 6:00 AM or end significantly past 24:00 PM can apply for a parking permit. This permit intends to accommodate for shift workers who, due to their unusual working hours, rely on their vehicle, since public transportation does not run at those hours.

Fees:

• Parking permits with a validity up to one year

  40,00 Euro

• Parking permits with a validity up to two years

  60,00 Euro

Parking permits for musicians

Requirements:

People that regularly transport musical instruments valued over 10.000 Euros due to their work can apply for a parking permit.

Fees:

• Parking permits with a validity up to one year

  40,00 Euro

• Parking permits with a validity up to two years

  60,00 Euro

Parking permit for people that privately conduct care work for family members

Requirements:

People that privately conduct care work for family members that are registered in a parking zone can apply for a parking permit.

• Parking permits with a validity up to one year

  26,00 Euro

• Parking permits with a validity up to two years

  41,00 Euro

Parking permits for people that are not able to use public transportation due to health conditions

Requirements:
People that are not able to use public transportation due to health conditions and therefore rely on their vehicle can apply for a parking permit.

• Parking permits with a vailidity up to two years

  41,00 Euro

Parking permits for people with disability

Parking facilitations can be granted for severely disabled persons with exceptional walking disabilities, bilateral amelia or phocomelia or with comparable functional limitations as well as for blind persons in the form of an EU parking permit (“blauer Parkausweis “). Severely disabled persons who are equivalent to the above-mentioned group of persons can be granted parking privileges – limited to the federal territory (“orangefarbener Parkausweis”).

The parking permit offers a wide range of special parking rights, e.g. free parking in parking zones. The parking permit is issued to a single person and may only be used in the presence of the authorized person, regardless of the vehicle he or she is driving.
