Parking permits for technicians

Parking management in Neukölln starting February 1st, 2024

The district of Neukölln is introducing parking management on February 1st, 2024. The parking zones 105 (Reuterkiez) and 100 (Flughafen-/Donaukiez) will be launched simultaneously. Further parking zones will follow.

The municipality of Neukölln had to postpone the launch of parking management in order to ensure legal compliance and proper procedure in the process. Parking permits that are processed by the “Straßenverkehrsbehörde” will be handed out in time for the new launch date. They will be valid starting on that day.

Requirements

Technicians can apply for a parking permit with the “Straßenverkehrsbehörde”. This permit enables technicians to park in all parking zones of Berlin for business purposes. This parking permit is issued under the condition that the business relies on a vehicle to transport heavy materials and is necessary at the operation site. We assume that following technical businesses rely on a vehicle for business purposes.

The registered vehicle must be suitable for the transportation of the corresponding materials. Up to four vehicles can be registered with one parking permit for technicians. However, the permit can not be used by several vehicles simultaneously.

Fees

• Parking permits with a validity up to 6 months

  130,00 Euro

• Parking permits with a validity up to 12 months

  200,00 Euro

• Parking permits with a validity up to 24 months

  350,00 Euro

• Every additional vehicle with a validity up to 6 months

  25,00 Euro

• Every additional vehicle with a validity up to 12 months

  40,00 Euro

• Every additional vehicle with a validity up to 24 months

  70,00 Euro

Application procedure

Required documents

• Application form
• Proof of affiliation to a trade („Handwerkerkarte“, „Handelsregisterauszug“ oder „Bescheinigung der IHK“)
• Copy of „Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil 1“ – certificate of registration of your vehicle
  The front page must be entirely unfolded
  Following information must be included: name and address of the registered owner of the vehicle, license plate number, type of vehicle
• If applicable, verification that the owner of a vehicle has authorized the applicant to permanent usage of their vehicle
• Photos that prove the suitability of the vehicle for the transportation of corresponding materials and the licence plate number
• Confirmation in writing, that the vehicle is required at the operation site

• Additionally, the „Arbeitsstättennachweis“ must be filled out and displayed in your vehicle when at an operation site
