Parking permits for residents

Parking management in Neukölln starting February 1st, 2024

The district of Neukölln has introduced parking management in Reuterkiez, Flughafen-/Donaukiez and Weserkiez.

Applications for residents parking permits are possible digitally and in written form. All information can be found here. The Bürgeramt Blaschkoallee has recently opened up the possibility for residents of the above mentioned parking zones to apply for their permit in person without an appointment at following times:

Monday 08:00 – 15:00
Tuesday 11:00 – 18:00
Wednesday 08:00 – 13:00
Thursday 11:00 – 18:00
Friday 08:00 – 13:00

Please bring the required documents, including an ID and the certificate of registration of your vehicle. Please note that the Bürgeramt Blaschkoallee is fully cashless.

Parking permits for residents

Requirements

If you are a registered resident of a parking zone, you can apply for a residents parking permit. With this permit you are exempted from the obligation to purchase parking vouchers for the parking zone that you receive the permit for. Please note that the residents parking permit does not assign or guarantee parking spots. Through parking management regulations parking pressure is expected to sink, meaning that finding a parking spot should become easier.

• Residents parking permits can be assigned either to the registered owner of a vehicle, or to a person that permanently uses a vehicle and can be verified as such.
• Residents that are members of a carsharing service are also eligible for a residents parking permit.
• The residents parking permit is valid for up to two years. Once the permit expires, you may apply for a new parking permit. An extension in itself is not possible.

• Issuance of the residents parking permit, valid for two years

• Replacement of lost/damaged residents parking permits

  10,20 Euro

• Rewriting residents parking permits

  10,20 Euro

Required documents

• Copy of „Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil 1“ – certificate of registration of your vehicle
  The front page must be entirely unfolded
  Following information must be included: name and address of the registered owner of the vehicle, license plate number, type of vehicle
• Copy of a form of identification, for example ID Card or passport
• If applicable, written authorization „Vollmacht“
• If applicable, verification that the owner of a vehicle has authorized the applicant to permanent usage of their vehicle
• If applicable, contract of membership with a carsharing service

• When will I receive my residents parking permit?

  If you applied for a residents parking permit, you will receive the permit in the mail before the start of the corresponding parking zone.

• How should I display my parking permit?

  The residents parking permit must be attached in a way that it legible from outside of the vehicle, for example the inside of the windshield.

• My parking permit has been damaged/I lost my parking permit – what do I do?

  If you have lost your parking permit or it has been damaged, you can apply for a replacement. You must be able to prove the damage or loss of your parking permit. Additionally, a fee is charged for the replacement.

• Is it possible to transfer my residents parking permit to a new vehicle?

  In this case you must reapply for a residents parking permit with the certificate of registration for your new vehicle. If you wish, the validity of the new parking permit can be limited to the remaining validity of the old parking permit. In this case, a fee in the amount of 10,20 Euro will be charged. In any case the old parking permit must be returned to the “Bürgeramt”.

• I am moving into a different parking zone – what do I do with my residents parking permit?

  In this case you must reapply for a residents parking permit for the new parking zone. If you wish, the validity of the new parking permit can be limited to the remaining validity of the old parking permit. In this case, a fee in the amount of 10,20 Euro will be charged. In any case the old parking permit must be returned to the “Bürgeramt”.
