Equity Investments
Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft Berlin-Brandenburg GmbH (MBG)
The MBG provides a service for companies headquartered in Berlin and Brandenburg, or planning to invest here, with an annual business volume of less than €50 million and fewer than 250 employees. The bank provides capital for almost the entire spectrum of funding requirements, excluding the concept, research and development phases, and company restructuring.
Berlin Kapital (Berlin Capital)
The Berlin Kapital programme provides permanent support to companies through an injection of equity capital. This programme is designed specifically for Berlin enterprises looking to improve their capital structure or finance growth.
Mezzanine Financing
Mezzanine capital or mezzanine financing instruments are primarily directed to supporting equity capital in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), thus easing their access to external funding. The Berlin Mezzanine Funds provide for sleeping partnerships and subordinated loans of between one and five million euros for investment and growth projects in Berlin. As a rule, it is sufficient to arrange cofinancing through a bank loan.
