Bekenntniskirche

Bekenntniskirche

The Protestant church Bekenntniskirche was built from 1930 to 1931 according to plans by Curt Steinberg and in the style of New Objectivity. It was designed to be multifunctional: as a church, a community center, and a residence, whose clinker-brick façade topped with two short towers blends into a row of houses. This church was later a meeting place for dissident groups resisting the GDR’s SED regime.
