Berlin has officially launched a new Deep Tech Hub to enhance its standing as a premier technology center. This hub, initiated in June 2024, aims to support startups, businesses, investors, and research institutions in developing cutting-edge technological innovations. It is a collaborative effort involving the Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises, Berlin Partner for Business and Technology GmbH, and MotionLab.Berlin.
The Deep Tech Hub’s primary goal is to promote the development of future technologies, assist Deep Tech startups in their market entry, and facilitate connections with potential investors. By fostering these activities, the hub aims to enhance Berlin’s visibility and attractiveness as a leading Deep Tech location on both national and international stages.
The MotionLab.Berlin, a key partner in this initiative, already provides spaces and a wide range of resources for startups and companies working at the intersection of technology and sustainability. With this partnership, the Deep Tech Hub will offer an enriched ecosystem, supporting collaborative development and innovation.
Since the 17th of September 2024, the Deep Tech Hub has also been a member of the Digital Hub Initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection. The ministry’s initiative simplifies the exchange of technological and economic expertise for the members of the 28 hubs involved and thus supports the development of new innovations. In addition to networking, the initiative gives the participating locations greater visibility – at a national and international level.
