Reading time: 4 minutes

Our Deep Tech Star Cambrium has secured a significant investment from Earth Venture Capital as part of its seed extension round, led by Google’s Gradient Ventures. This strategic funding will supercharge Cambrium’s mission to disrupt traditional materials with eco-friendly, protein-based solutions.

“Our partnership with Earth VC marks a pivotal moment for us,” said Mitchell Duffy, Co-founder & CEO. “Their support will not only help scale our production but open new doors, particularly in Southeast Asia, reinforcing our commitment to creating materials that truly matter.”

We are proud and excited that our Deep Tech Star is poised to redefine sustainable production and meet the escalating demand for greener alternatives. After winning the Deep Tech Award in the AI Category Cambrium has been on the rise from making HackSummit’s “Startups Manufacturing the Future of Climate Tech” list and being featured as one of Berlin’s top 10 hottest startups by WIRED and up to this investment.

Cambrium’s flagship product, NovaColl™—a precision-fermented, skin-identical collagen —promises to shake up the personal care industry. The investment will fuel the expansion of Cambrium’s production capabilities and expedite the development of groundbreaking products like plastic-free leather and hydrophobic coatings, targeting a market entry by 2025.

We know Cambrium and its passionate team have even more great things to come, and we’re ready to cheer for them.
