I belong to the stumbling stone initiative Berlin-Eichkamp. Four stumbling stones will be placed at Zikadenweg 78 for the Alfred Samek family (born Feb. 7, 1878), owner of Wesam factory, his wife Jeanne, born Citroen (born November 28, 1878), their sons Günther (born July 31, 1914) and Bernhard (born December 4, 1915), both engineers. From 1927 to 1939 they lived in Berlin, then emigration to Zagreb (Croatia) and Belgrade (Serbia), deported to camp Jasenovak und camp Belgrade, murdered. Alexander Samek, Alfred Samek’s brother, survived and lived in Israel.
