Again, I enjoyed reading your magazine dated June ’16. It keeps me in touch with my native city Berlin. I want to thank Bürgermeister Müller, who keeps us old Berliners in his thoughts.
I have been back numerous times, to introduce, first my husband then my 3 children, individually, to the city of my and my parents’ birth. I attended the school adjacent to the Temple at Fasanenstraße in 1938, as a 10 and 11 year old, before it was burned on Nov. 9, 1938. I wondered if any of my schoolmates remember me?
My daughter, Karen Levi, wrote a book about my life, published in March of this year. It is titled, “Love and Luck, a young woman’s journey from Berlin to Shanghai to San Francisco”. If any of your readers is interested to read it, contact:
