Both my parents were born in Germany. My mother’s name was Susan Steinberg and her family came from Berlin. She married Vernon Schneeman whose family owned a shop in the Kurfürstendamm in Berlin. They both escaped to England around 1938. She had two sisters, Gerda and Edith. Gerda died in concentration camp and Edith went to live in Israel and married there: her married name was Pickman. My mother died in England in 1968.
I have no records of what happened to her family and am anxious to trace any surviving relatives.
