People in Berlin and Brandenburg must be prepared for thunderstorms on Tuesday, some with hail and gale-force winds.
According to the German Weather Service, sunshine can still be expected at times in the morning. It will be up to 26 degrees. However, the first showers and thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon.
Heavy rain will move in towards the evening and there is the potential for severe weather, especially in the greater Berlin area and southern Brandenburg. According to forecasts, hail showers with grains of up to four centimetres, gale-force winds and locally heavy rain are possible. In the first half of the night, further thunderstorms and rain are expected, some of them heavy. These will then slowly clear by the morning. Temperatures will drop to up to 15 degrees.
