Every year in spring, the folk festival Steglitzer Woche invites visitors to enjoy themselves in the green Bäkepark.
The traditional event offers a mixture of cultural program and popular folk festival attractions. In parallel, various events also take place throughout the district of Steglitz.
Visitors can looks forward to around 60 rides and attractions. Highlights include the ferris wheel "High Sky", the popular carousels "Melodie Star" and "Break Dance", bumper cars and children's carousels. Raffles, games of skill, basketball, duck fishing and fun games of coconut shy complete the offer. The beer garden with live music in the pavilion invites visitors to enjoy the sun with a cool drink, while the gourmet snack bar and various grills and crêpe stands make sure no-one will go hungry.
The Cabaret Prize has been part of the Steglitzer Woche for quite some time. Artists from the fields of music, dance, acrobatics, comedy, magic and juggling will showcase their skills in two five-minute performances each. The prize will be awarded to the artist who receives the loudest applause from the audience.
