From Friedrichstraße to the city's largest port and back: The 2.5 hour City Tour features many notable sights and buildings in Berlin's historic and modern centre.
The tour starts at the chosen landing stage in the centre of Berlin. Find a nice place on the boat and look forward to two and a half hours of relaxed travel along Berlin's most important waterway. The ship first sets course for the city centre. On the promenade you can discover the Museum Island with the Bodemuseum and the Old National Gallery. You will also pass the impressive Berlin Cathedral and the Berlin City Palace with the Humboldt Forum, which is currently under construction. Here you will find the Nikolaiviertel pier, where the ship makes a stopover. Afterwards you continue your journey to the Mühlendamm lock.
Here the ship turns around and sails again through the city centre, past the Palace of Tears. Arriving in the government district, the ship turns off into an arm of the Spree. Enjoy the view of the modern building of the Berlin Central Station, the historic buildings of the Charité Campus and a lot of greenery on the river bank. The red historic buildings of Berlin's largest harbour are visible from afar. The Westhafen is an important transhipment point for inland navigation. A little further on, Charlottenpunkt Palace with its beautiful historic gardens marks the turning point of the ship. Next stop is the Gotzkowskybrücke pier (can be booked as a possible exit point).
The tour continues along the numerous meanders of the Spree again towards Friedrichstraße through the green lung of Berlin, the Tiergarten. From your boat you can discover the House of Cultures and pass the Federal Chancellery. Arrived at Hackescher Markt, the tour ends here and leaves you with numerous impressions and ideas of what is still worth discovering in Berlin.
The tour's attractions are explained in German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Russian and Hebrew. Audio guides are available for this purpose.
