Berlin Easter Run

Berliner Osterlauf

On the historic running course of the tubular Schlachtensee, runners between the ages of 7 and 99 tackle the Berliner Osterlauf (Berlin Easter Run) in various distances.

Participants have various marathon options, including eighth, quarter, third, half and Big 5 marathons, as well as a relay half marathon. There are also two competitions for (Nordic) walkers to choose from, namely an eighth marathon and a quarter marathon.

Route of the Berlin Easter Run

The former governing mayor of Berlin, Eberhard Diepgen, as well as actors such as Götz George have already completed their laps around the Schlachtensee. At the Osterlauf, participants circle the lake several times, depending on the route they choose. The lakeside trail stretches over 5,303 metres. For example, runners in the half marathon complete four laps, while the Big 5 marathon even has five.
