Oranienstraße

Oranienstraße in Kreuzberg

Vibrating with the typical Kreuzberg vitality, Oranienstraße is a perfect place for browsing through small boutiques, book shops and record stores.

Locacted in the vibrant, multicultural heart of Kreuzberg the colourful Oranienstraße is a shopping and nightlife spot like no other in Berlin. Extending from Moritzplatz to the west and Görlitzer Bahnhof underground station to the east, a dazzling multitude of shops, cafés and restaurants are lining both sides of Oranienstraße and its adjoining streets.

Oranienstraße: An alternative shopping experience

Those who can't bear mainstream shopping centre monotony will find an attractive mix of stores, no big chains but small boutiques and vintage clothes stores, several record stores and book shops, skate and bike shops, which offer an alternative shopping experience.

Eating, drinking and going out in Oranienstraße

There is an unparalleled variety of international restaurants, snack bars, cafés and bars in Oranienstraße for refreshment and relaxation. The legendary SO36, a former Punk and New Wave club, has its home in Oranienstraße and continues to host concerts and parties.

Kreuzboerg Flowmarkt and Markthalle Neun

During the warm months, the urban gardening project Prinzessinnengärten at Moritzplatz hosts the Kreuzboerg Flowmarkt. Here visitors will find a good selection of design - from art to everyday objects and handmade stuff. Not far from Oranienstraße to the east in Eisenbahnstraße lies the Markthalle Neun, a historical indoor market with a modern, trendy approach. The market offers fresh vegetables, meat, bread and wine and organizes also various food events.
