The privately operated passenger ferry connects the eastern bank of the Havel River amidst Grunewald Forest with Lindwerder Island. The ferry crosses as needed and can be called with a bell. The crossing from the mainland to Lindwerder takes only a few minutes. The island can be easily explored on foot via a circular path. Several benches along the way invite hikers to linger and offer a wide view of the Havel River and as far as Gatow, a part of the Spandau district located on the west bank of the river. Lindwerder Island also features a restaurant open from April to October.

From the eastern bank of the Havel River in Grunewald Forest, a passenger ferry departs to the idyllic Havel island of Lindwerder.
Tickets
The ferry to Lindwerder Island is not operated by the BVG, so public transport tickets are not valid here. A round trip tickets costs € 1 for adults. Children up to 14 travel free of charge. Bicycles and dogs cost € 1 each.
Transport Links
If you are arriving from the city center, you can take the S-Bahn line S1 or S7 to Wannsee station or the S3 or S9 to the S-Bahn station Heerstraße. From there, you can get to the ferry by taking the BVG bus 218 to the Lindwerder stop.
