Corona incidence in Berlin again above 200

Corona-Tests

The corona incidence in Berlin was 210 on Thursday.

This was announced by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). For the whole of Germany, the number of registered new infections per 100,000 people in seven days was given as 244. The values have been around this range for some time.

Statistics only record positive PCR tests

However, the incidence does not provide a complete picture of the infection situation. Experts assume that there is a high number of cases not recorded by the RKI - especially because not all infected persons have a PCR test. Only positive PCR tests count in the statistics.

1755 new cases reported

According to the RKI, 1755 new infections were reported for Berlin within one day. The total number of cases registered since the beginning of the pandemic rose to around 1,246,000. Four additional deaths were registered. According to the official figures, there were thus a total of 4783 deaths related to Corona infections in Berlin.
