Corona incidence in Berlin at 226

Corona-Schnelltest

The corona incidence in Berlin reached 226 on Thursday. This was announced by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). For Germany as a whole, the figure, which indicates the registered new infections per 100,000 people in seven days, was given as 271.

However, the incidence does not provide a complete picture of the infection situation. Experts assume that there is a high number of cases not recorded by the RKI - especially because not all infected persons have a PCR test. Only positive PCR tests count in the statistics.

According to the RKI, 3893 new infections were reported for Berlin within one day. The total number of registered cases has risen to around 1,221,000 since the start of the pandemic in spring 2020. Seven additional deaths were reported. According to the official figures, there have thus been 4752 deaths related to Corona infections in Berlin since the start of the pandemic.
