Corona incidence in Berlin falls below 400

Corona-Test

The corona incidence in Berlin continues to be well below the national average. On Friday, the value was 369.9 compared to 416 on Thursday.

It indicates the number of new infections per 100,000 people within seven days. Nationwide, the incidence for new infections was 553.2 on Friday, according to the latest data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). Across Berlin, 2186 new Corona infections were reported. This brings the total number since the start of the pandemic in spring 2020 to a good 1,012,200.

Six new deaths reported

However, experts assume that many cases are not recorded because not all rapid tests are reliable and because positive rapid tests are not always followed by a PCR test. In addition, not all health offices report their data on a daily basis. According to the statistics, six new deaths have also been added. A total of 4509 deaths related to Corona infections were counted in Berlin.
