On Wednesday (04 May 2022), the incidence in Berlin was just under 458, the same as the previous day.

This is according to data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). Nationwide, the incidence for new infections is at 592, according to the RKI.

Six new deaths

4100 new Coronavirus infections were registered in one day in Berlin. The total number for Berlin thus rose to around 1,007,000. 6 new deaths were reported, meaning that 4495 deaths related to Coronavirus infections have been counted so far.

Many cases probably not recorded

Experts believe that many cases are not recorded because not all rapid tests are reliable and because positive rapid tests are not always followed by a PCR test. In addition, not all health offices in Berlin report their data on a daily basis.
