Only a few new infections with the coronavirus have been reported in Berlin over the course of Good Friday.

According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) early Saturday morning (16 April 2022), 197 cases were transmitted. It pointed out that the significance of the daily updated figures could be limited at the weekend and at the beginning of the week. According to the Berlin Senate's situation report, only a few districts reported new infections.

Incidence at around 484

In Berlin, the seven-day incidence thus fell to around 484 - that is how many new infections per 100,000 people were reported in the past seven days. The previous day, the figure had been reported at 578.2. According to the statistics, no new deaths were registered. Since the beginning of the pandemic about two years ago, 4427 people have died in Berlin in connection with a Corona infection.
