The incidence of Coronavirus in Berlin has increased again . The capital continues to have the highest incidence of all German states.
According to data provided by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Thursday morning (Jan. 27, 2022), there were 1863.2 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in Berlin over the last seven days. This represents an increase of 67.7 compared to the previous day. The incidence in Hamburg also rose over 1500 on Wednesday with an incidence value of 1616.2. The nationwide incidence is currently at 1017.4 and has thus risen to more than 1000 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants for the first time.
14,735 new infections and three new deaths were registered in Berlin in the last 24 hours. The number of total infections in Berlin thus rose to 500,056, and a total of 4097 people have now died in connection with Covid-19. Across Germany, more than 200,000 new infections and 188 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours.
