New platform to provide overview of social counselling services

Krisenberatung

In future, information on social counselling and support services in Berlin will be available online in a user-friendly way.

The "Social Berlin" project aims to bundle them on a joint digital platform and make it easier for Berliners to keep track of them, as Social Affairs Senator Cansel Kiziltepe (SPD) announced.

Guidance for those affected

The aim is to provide guidance on the many different social services that can help in different situations and circumstances. The spectrum ranges from applying for child benefit to help for single parents and determining care degree levels.

Bundling around 3,000 offers

"It's quite a challenge to present the entire range of offers in Berlin there, and we will probably have to collate over 3,000 offers," said Kiziltepe. The model project has been in the conceptual planning phase since the beginning of the year. The digital platform is expected to be available on the Berlin.de website at the beginning of next year and can be used by citizens.
