Passengers on Berlin's underground lines 1, 2 and 3 will face restrictions over the next few weeks.
The reason is construction work at the Gleisdreieck underground station from 15 August to 6 November. They are to be carried out in three sections, according to a spokesperson for the Berlin transport company on Monday.
During the first and second construction phase from August 15 to September 18 and from September 26 to October 27, construction will take place on the tracks of the U2. The U2 will then not run continuously, and the U12 line between Ruhleben and Warschauer Straße will be used as a replacement. The U1 cannot be used during this period. The U3 will run as usual between Krumme Lanke and Warschauer Straße, but without a stop at Bülowstraße station.
During the third construction phase from October 28 to November 6, construction will take place on the tracks of the U1 and U3. The U2 runs normally between Ruhleben and Pankow, the U1 between Gleisdreieck and Warschauer Straße, the U3 between Krumme Lanke and Nollendorfplatz. There will be a construction break from September 19 to September 25. During the construction break, the U2 and U3 will run normally.
