LimeBike provides electric bicycles for rent in the Berlin metropolitan area.

LimeBike has taken up the cause of reducing pollution in cities through its rental bike system. The Californian company offer electric bicycles for rent - interesting for all those that want to respect the environment without too much physical exertion.

Registration

Registering with LimeBike follows the same process as other bikesharing companies. After downloading the free app, you can register with your Google or Facebook profile or your e-mail address. Once you have created a user profie, you can use the app to find a bike nearby.

Rental Process and Pricing

Once you have found a bike, you can unlock it on site by scanning the QR code or entering the wheel number. Lime charges a fixed price for the activation of a bike. The charge is then calculated by the minute. Payment is made by credit card, Paypal and other payment methods. Wheels can be reserved free of charge for ten minutes before the start of the journey.

Returns

Limebikes can be parked anywhere in the city and its suburbs. Trips to Potsdam or other cities near Berlin are possible as well. Parked bikes must not obstruct pedestrians or other traffic participants.
