Cosmic Day: 100th Anniversary of the Planetarium

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the planetarium, the Zeiss Planetarium in Berlin invites you to an open day with a full program.

On October 21, 1923, the planetarium was presented to the public for the first time. The event took place at the Deutsches Museum in Munich. 100 years later, the Zeiss Planetarium is inviting the Berlin public to celebrate the anniversary in a fitting manner. Visitors can look forward to an exciting program full of activities for children and adults that are regularly offered at the planetarium. Admission to the Cosmic Day is free, but seating is limited.

100 years of the Planetarium: Program

The program includes the following highlights:

• Armstrong - a mouse's adventurous journey to the moon: At this children's event, viewers follow the little mouse Armstrong, who wants to fly to the moon.te.
• Spaceship Earth: In the planetarium hall, guests board a spaceship and explore infinite space with its fascinating facets.
• Seeing planets with rockets: This format offers an exciting journey to the eight planets of our solar system.
• Polaris and the riddle of the polar night: A turbulent space adventure for young visitors.
• Aurora - Wonders of the Northern Lights: Under the planetarium dome, breathtaking images of the Northern Lights invite you to dream.
• Black holes: For one hour, everything revolves around what are perhaps the most fascinating phenomena in the universe.
• Star hour: The popular format explains objects and constellations currently visible in the sky.
• Cosmic Jazz: Gentle jazz sounds to impressive images from the depths of space.
• Cosmic Rock: The cosmic day at the planetarium will be concluded with a laser show, surround sound and rock music.
