At the Open Studios, the artists provide an informative insight into various artistic working methods and explain them in conversation.
The studios and workshops in the historic courthouses in Wedding open their doors to the public again in September.
Every year, visitors have the opportunity to either discover the six listed courtyards between Gerichtstraße and Wiesenstraße for themselves or be guided through various studios by art experts. Works by Gerichtshöfe artists and guest artists are presented. A wide variety of artistic fields are represented, from painting to drawing, photography, printmaking, installation, sculpture, jewelry design, ceramics and multimedia.
With over 70 studios, the art quarter in the Weddinger Gerichtshöfe is one of the largest in Germany. Artists from all over the world have been working here in the six listed courtyards between Gerichtstrasse and Wiesenstrasse since 1983. In 2004, many of the artists organized themselves into the association "Kunst in den Gerichtshöfen e.V.".
