  • Christmas Market at Potsdamer Platz

Winter sports and Christmas markets come together at Potsdamer Platz during the Christmas season. The Winterwelt invites you to go tobogganing, while visitors can take it easy at the Christmas market.

The Winterwelt (Winter World) at Potsdamer Platz is a visitor magnet and a highlight among Berlin's winter attractions. Unlike traditional Christmas markets, the Winterwelt is also a sporting venue. A special highlight is the 12-metre high and 70-metre long winter slide. The toboggan run scores with a view of the Brandenburg Gate and, with its colourful disco lights, is sure to make children's eyes light up. Afterwards, several huts provide the young and old athletes with bratwurst, roasted almonds, mulled wine, crêpes and co. Due to the Corona pandemic there will be no ice rink or curling this year.

Mulled Wine and Arts and Crafts

Those who prefer a less sporty but more cosy atmosphere can go under the illuminated lime trees of Alte Potsdamer Straße. A crafts market and numerous stalls with Christmas snacks await visitors there. Last-minute Christmas shoppers can look forward to handmade gifts, Christmas decorations and children's toys.
