In the Gardens of the World, visitors can enjoy gardening culture from all over the world in nine themed gardens. more
Berlin's only cable car runs between the Kienberg underground station and the visitor centre of the Gardens of the World.
Gently gliding over the colourful Gardens of the World and the high-rise buildings of Marzahn and Hellersdorf, Berlin's only cable car offers amazing views. The cable car was inaugurated in 2017 for the International Garden Exhibition. It now operates as an independent means of transport between the Kienberg subway station, the summit of the Kienberg hill, and the main entrance to the Gardens of the World on Blumberger Damm.
The cable car stations are located outside the Gardens of the World. From the top station on the summit of Kienberg hill, the Wolkenhain viewing platform and the natural bobsleigh run are easily accessible. During the cable car ride, there is a wide view over the Kienbergpark on the eastern side and the Gardens of the World on the western side. Some of the cable car cabins have glass floors that give passengers the feeling of floating freely over the gardens.
