Aviya Kopelman - "Bianca Piana" | Filippos Raskovic - Understone

Aviya Kopelman is an acclaimed multi-genre composer writing symphonic, chamber and vocal music, as well as art-pop songs, modern-jazz crossovers and more. Following  a classical piano background, she recently started releasing short neo-classical pieces, weaving minimalist precision together with the wide emotional range that solo piano allows.

Kopelman's compositional work ranges from commissions for orchestra and ensembles such as San Francisco Girls Chorus and Kronos quartet, through Jazz fusion to art rock. Throughout her career, Kopelman has been searching for her most truthful, accurate and up-to-date musical path, always remaining curious for new musical universes and languages.

To celebrate his latest release “Understone”, composer and pianist Filippos Raskovic will perform improvisations on piano. ”Understone” symbolises the act of uncovering hidden depths, much like each of Filippos' improvisations, which naturally unfold, revealing their layers over time His music combines elements of harmony and repetitive patterns, drawing inspiration from the worlds of free improvisation, jazz and contemporary classical music.

Filippos Raskovic is a composer and improviser from Athens, Greece, based in Vilnius, Lithuania. He often collaborates with visual artists, focusing on the acoustics of objects, sculptures, and spaces. In 2021, he completed the performative installation “Echo Chambers” in collaboration with the sculptor Dimitris Tampakis. He has also co-created “Post-European Rage Room” with the UnProcessed Reality collective, a performance shown at Centrum Berlin. He is a founding member of illucid trio, and in 2019, he co-founded the KRAMA collective and festival.
