Begin your journey from the side of the famous lake Wannsee. Following the path of the Berlin Wall where you’ll discover the notorious Checkpoint Bravo. Cycling through the forest, you'll discover two curious settlements: a West Berlin village trapped in East Germany, and an East German village surrounded by the Wall inside West Berlin. See where an escape tunnel brought an East German family to freedom, and where Santa arrived by helicopter to bring presents to West Berlin children!

See the street where Stalin, Churchill, and Truman lived in stunning mansions during the Potsdam Conference, and stop at the Memorial for the victims of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings before crossing the Bridge of Spies and into the UNESCO World Heritage New Garden of Potsdam. Discover where the Cold War began surrounded by Prussian splendour in the grounds of the Cecilienhof Palace, where the “Big Three” set out their plans for the future of Germany, Europe, and the world.

Make the final push on your bike: cycle through the woods, over the river Havel, by the side of former Nazi & Soviet military barracks, down to King Frederick William IV’s Heilandskirche Church, and hear the story of how Pastor Joachim Strauss saved the stunning building from destruction as it sat in the Berlin Wall’s “Death Strip”.

Finish the day with epic German food and beer (vegetarian and non-alcoholic options available) at a cute restaurant or beer garden before taking the ferry back over to Wannsee and riding the train back into central Berlin.
