The Case for Justify: Empowering Animal Lab Workers to Share Their Stories

Our next 3Rs Training Webinar will take place on January 13, 2025, at 1 pm ET/ 7 pm CET. This time, we will learn about the work of Madeline Krasno, co-founder of Justify, a nonprofit organization that amplifies the voices of those directly involved in animal research. Between 2011 and 2013, Madeline Krasno cared for over 500 monkeys at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Harlow Primate Research Laboratory—a deeply impactful experience that left her with PTSD and sparked her passion for change.
Unlike traditional animal protection or scientific transparency groups, Justify focuses on the unique experiences of those working in animal research. Through storytelling, Justify humanizes the often-hidden realities of the industry, exposing its effects on both animals and humans alike.
This webinar will provide an insightful exploration of the complexities surrounding animal research, advocating for a shift toward scientific progress without human or animal suffering.
