Information about BER Terminal 5 (former Schönefeld Airport Berlin) including a map, public transport, arrivals and departures.
Note: Terminal 5 will not be served until further notice. All air traffic at BER will be handled via Terminals 1 and 2. The shops in Terminal 5 are also closed.
Terminal 5 (former Berlin Schönefeld Airport) is located on the southern outskirts of Berlin.
It is easy to reach the Berlin city center from Terminal 5 as the train station has direct links to regional trains, the S-Bahn and buses and is only a ten-minute walk from the terminal building. For drivers: Terminal 5 is connected to highway A113 which leads to the city center.
Between 4.30 a.m. and 11 p.m. the regional trains RE7 and RB14 called "Airport Express", travel in 30 minute intervals between Terminal 5 and Berlin-Charlottenburg with stops at Ostbahnhof, Alexanderplatz, Berlin Central Station and Berlin-Zoo. It takes about 15 minutes to get to Ostbahnhof with the Airport Express and 30 minutes to get to Berlin Central Station. Note: Terminal 5 is located in fare zone C. To get to the city centre an ABC ticket is required.
The S-Bahn line S45 runs between the train station Terminal 5 and Station Südkreuz. Berlin-Südkreuz has direct links to the S-Bahn (Ringbahn / Circle Line) and to other public transport towards the city centre. The journey between Terminal 5 and Station Südkreuz takes about 30 minutes. In addition to the train travel time travellers should plan on a walk of five to ten minutes between the airport terminals and the train station Terminal 5.
From Schönefeld Airport the following buses run to Berlin's city centre: From Terminal A: 163, 171, X7, N7, N60
City West (train station Zoo): about 44 Euros; City East (Alexanderplatz): about 41 Euros; Terminal 5 to Tegel Airport: about 55 Euros

Several car rental companies have branches at the Airport located in the pavilion in front of the Terminal.
