The central lost and found office in Berlin and the lost property office of the Deutsche Bahn and the BVG can help you. If important personal documents are missing, contact the police and your country's embassy.
The central lost property office is in charge of most lost or found items in Berlin. It is located in the building of the former Tempelhof Airport.

The loss or theft of your passport or personal ID card must be reported to the police immediately. If you are on vacation in Berlin and lost your passport for your trip back home, you need to contact your country's embassy.
For items lost on trains, subways, buses and trams in Berlin, the BVG and the Deutsche Bahn have set up a joint lost property office in Friedrichshain.
