In August each year a parade of brightly lit cruise vessels proceeds on the Spree in Berlin's city centre, culminating in a grand show with light effects, music and fireworks.
Decorated with colourful lights the cruise vessels start at three different piers, gather on the Spree near Hauptbahnhof and continue the tour in a procession through the city centre. The cruise is accompanied by light effects, music and fireworks and passes along the Government Quarter, Museum Island and Nikolai Quarter to the East Side Gallery and Oberbaum Bridge between the districts of Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg.
Grand finale at Oberbaum Bridge
As soon as the procession reaches the East Side Gallery the tour's highlight starts: Accompanied by music and impressive illuminations all cruises vessels "dance" together in a ballet show on the Spree. The tour continues southeast to Schöneweide where a grand display of fireworks greets the passengers, and returns to the East Side Gallery for another highlight.
With or without buffet
Participants of this four-hour river cruise can treat themselves to some culinary delights. When choosing "mit Buffet & Sektempfang" during the booking process passengers can enjoy as many delicacies from the buffet as they like. The river cruise "Aquarella" can also be booked without buffet ("ohne Buffet").
