Orankesee is located in the middle of a villa district in Lichtenberg. The associated lido offers various leisure activities.
In the lido Orankesee, visitors have numerous opportunities for swimming and relaxing. The operators filled the 300-metre long sandy beach with sand from the Baltic Sea coast. Beach chairs and sunbathing areas as well as a children's playground complete the offer. Outside the leisure pool, a 1.3-kilometre-long path along the shore invites you to take a walk or jog.
Swimming is only allowed in the Orankesee lido, which features a non-swimmer area and a 52-meter long water slide. Swimming is not permitted outside the lido.
Lake Orankesee was formed during the last ice age. The area around it was developed from 1892. In 1929, the lido opened. After the Second World War, it was temporarily closed until it reopened in 1957.
