Centrally located in the Tiergarten district, this green oasis in the middle of the city is the perfect spot for after-work drinks. Located on the southern end of Viktoriapark in the heart of Kreuzberg, this small beer garden offers gorgeous views of Berlin's very own waterfall. Visitors can enjoy breakfast, coffee, beer and food from the grill on the cozy terrace.

Even though most German still prefer the traditional Pilsner, craft beer has gained a lot of fans in Berlin over the past year. The BRLO brewery in Berlin-Kreuzberg has been one of the pioneers of the city's craft beer scene, brewing its beers purely by hand in small batches. As soon as it's warm enough, you can enjoy BRLO's ever-changing selection of Pale Ales, IPAs, Pilsners and Lagers in the beer garden right at the entrance to the park near Gleisdreieck.

The Zenner beer garden with its 1500 seats is located in Treptower Park in the Treptow district. With a view of the Spree, it is considered one of the most beautiful beer gardens in Berlin. The wine and beer garden not only serves drinks such as pilsner, shandy and craft beer as well as food - including the classics currywurst, meatballs and fries - but sometimes also hosts live concerts, DJ sets and other outdoor events. The beer garden is open daily in summer and on weekends when the weather is good outside of the season.

The Schleusenkrug is a traditional beer garden near the Zoologischer Garten train station in the Tiergarten district. It is located next to the lock on the Untere Freiarchenbrücke in the Tiergarten and serves dishes ranging from Schnitzel to tarte flambée and vegan currywurst - and of course draft and bottled beers, wines, whiskeys and more. Hot and non-alcoholic drinks are also available. The Schleusenkrug beer garden has space for around 700 people.

Those looking for a traditional German beer garden experience off the beaten tourist track will find it at Brauhaus Spandau, right in the historic center of the Spandau district. Located opposite the Bundeskanzleramt, the Zollpackhof in Moabit (Tiergarten district) offers Bavarian comfort under old, shady trees. The Zollpackhof has been around since around 1700 - it was Berlin's first tourist restaurant. The drinks menu includes numerous beers from Bavaria, but also many other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The menu offers grilled and cooked dishes with a focus on Bavarian cuisine, but also salads and some other vegetarian and vegan options.

A small oasis in the heart of the city: Schankhalle Pfefferberg in the Prenzlauer Berg district serves home-brewed beer and traditional German pub fare right in the center of Berlin's thriving Prenzlauer Berg district.
