Bike Tour: Berlin's Best

This three-and-a-half-hour guided bike tour starts in the Prenzlauer Berg district and includes all the major sights in Berlin's city center and the modern architecture of the government quarter.

The Berlin's Best bike tour is ideal for those who want to get an overview of the history, famous sights and architectural highlights of Berlin. The guided tour starts in the former working class district Prenzlauer Berg, now a trendy and lively city borough with attractively restored 19th century buildings.

Heading south towards the city's centre, the tour continues past popular sights such as Museum Island, the construction site of Berlin City Palace and Pariser Platz with Brandenburg Gate, the city's most famous landmark, and Hotel Adlon. Along the route participants will also see GDR era buildings and learn how this architecture has shaped the inner city.

A tour of Berlin's city highlights wouldn't be complete without the post-wall government quarter with the historical Reichstag and modern glass and concrete buildings such as the Federal Chancellery. During the sightseeing tour the guide will offer insight into current architectural debates and the historical events which formed Berlin's cityscape.
