Turbo Pascal: Faith Fiction

With Faith Fiction, Turbo Pascal opens a laboratory for contemporary faith between techno club and temple, religious heritage, transcultural influences and spiritual science fiction. The performers of Turbo Pascal all experienced belonging to a monotheistic religion in their childhood. But none of them have spoken much about the subject in their adult lives – until now. In personal interviews, they talked to people from Berlin about inherited beliefs or non-beliefs and asked about demarcations, old remnants of faith and new search movements in religion. Excerpts from the conversations wander through the audience via mobile loudspeakers and tell of individual faith biographies or turn into a collective prayer choir. The interactive performance invites you to reassemble ideas of God or death, spiritual practices and rituals, but also to ask questions about the limits of free faith creations.
