The mail carrier's day begins at four in the morning – they deliver good news and bad news alike. How do messages like payment reminders, dismissals and property documents affect the person who receives them? In its newest production, the Berlin-based collective ANIMA illuminates the tensions between an abstract world of finances and their effects on the individual: shame, guilt and jealousy rear their ugly heads, Ayn Rand and Adam Smith continue their incessant debate and the invisible hand floats above everything. ANIMA brings the performing arts together with live music and video art on an equal basis.
