What kind of school would it have been if we had learned all the things that nobody taught us in reality? How to feel and communicate a yes and a no in our bodies; how to flirt, maintain our boundaries, touch mindfully and how to love ourselves?
The »School of Lovers« is a sensitive, empowering and genre-bending art experience on the subject of love and intimacy for people with and without disabilities.
Audience and performers find themselves together in a magical spatial installation where learning is sensual and pleasurable. As teaching bodies, the performers from Theater Hora invite you to learn with your body. Very musical, with dance interludes and interactive moments, this real fantasy world becomes a school to live in. And at the end, the audience watches a brightly colored educational film that video artist and somatic sex coach Melanie Bonajo made with the ensemble.
N O T E S:
There are moments with loud noises.
The performance is partly interactive.
The audience is addressed directly and invited to do small exercises (breathing, brief touches). No one is forced to participate.
The audience will be asked to take off their shoes to enter the stage.
