R: (on the phone): Have you seen a doctor yet? You didn’t mention it in your (…) You gotta see a doctor, what’s wrong with you, what you doing? (…) Where are you now? (…) Have you been to the AOK health insurance branch? (…) You’re not in a state to go see a doctor, are you saying? (…) What are the consultation hours of the surgery, have you looked it up? (…) Oh man, oh man, oh man (…) Thomas, listen! Thomas! Are you listening? I can make it home earlier than I thought, I’ll be home by 1:30 pm. I am going to look up Ullrich’s office hours, alright? You need to go, I can’t see why you’re… You think the bandage will do, is that what you’re thinking? But they said you need to see a surgeon, your finger has to be lanced. No, stop it, Thomas! Thomas! Stop it, you must be mad! You’re round the bend. Stop throwing a tantrum, I mean it!

(F returns)

R: You have to calm down. Calm down! I’ll be home in an hour, alright? Okay? You’re listening? 1:30 pm I’m there, okay? Okay. Alright. See you then, okay? (rings off)Oh my God. Oh my God.He’s suffering from blood poisoning, he needs to see a surgeon, but he won’t go!

F: Blood poisoning can be super dangerous, can’t it.

R: Definitely.

F: A sepsis.

R: Yeah, man!

F: Lots of people are dying from a sepsis.

R: I know!

F: I’m terrified at the thought of it!

R: And how!

F: You could have a sepsis and it passes unnoticed. A lot of people are unaware of that. But the terrible thing is, with a sepsis, everything happens very quickly.

R: Right!

F: What’s the time, half past yet?

L: It’s already thirty-six past.

F: Thirty-six? That’s outrageous!

R: I told you – twelve twenty-seven nine minutes ago! Oh man, oh man, oh man.

F: Well.

R: Now go!

F: I think I don’t know how to…

R: I don’t know what you’re talking about – off you go!

L: Now go!

F: Well, theoretically it‘s like you’re having a dialogue and in the background you hear screaming and bombs exploding. Which is not the case. But inside my head, I’m having this soundtrack going on all the time. I’m having a great time with my children though, we don’t always weep and cry at home, we’re having a ball! We’re playing games and I don’t even have to shout: Aaron, please! You can’t – it’s not a matter to laugh about! We’re not supposed to crack a – although I had the jokebook with me! I’ve fetched it from his room! Look!
