Hendrik Quast: Hairkunft

“The Lion King” promises: With a full mane, everything will be different, or even better: everything will fall into place. Hendrik Quast takes this promise seriously and reinterprets it. He undergoes a hair transplant to mark his change of milieu from the rural working class to the art world and to assert his place on the class journey. A bloody adaptation. Hendrik Quast pays tribute to it in an abysmal stand-up comedy show, asking where his queer class journey begins and whether it ever ends.
