The east wind is blowing. You carry me home out of the S-Bahn through the snow under your coat. I am growing up with this story and with your longing for a father, which is not expressed in a story, but in a feeling, a void, a look.

And when we set the table in your garden in summer and argue about Germany over coffee and cake, I want to pause - only the insects should still move and perhaps the pollen, and then I won't throw your fatherland at your head, but give space to your grief over your lost father. I will take a different path to you.

From KAULSDORF to KURSK traces a relationship between war child and war grandchild and seeks to give a language to that which still does not let go of us and cannot let go of us against the background of new wars.
