Geiz, Hartherzigkeit und Arroganz sind die Eigenschaften, die Mister Srooge, dem Firmeninhaber in der Finanzbranche, nachgesagt werden. Sein Angestellter wird ausgebeutet, Familie existiert für Srooge nicht, für seine ärmeren Londoner Mitbürger hat er nur Geringschätzung übrig. Weihnachten hält er für ineffiziente Zeitverschwendung.

Als wunderbarer Menschenkenner hat Charles Dickens im 19. Jahrhundert einen Klassiker erschaffen. Kurz vorm Weihnachtsfest erscheint Mr. Scrooge jedoch der Geist seines verstorbenen Geschäftspartners, der ihm das Erscheinen dreier Geister voraussagt: Vergangenheit, Gegenwart, Zukunft. Dem Menschenfeind wird der Spiegel vorgehalten…
