Devised in collaboration with a multigenerational dance ensemble, this dance work is a mythopoetic psychodrama for nautical carpideiras. Using manipulative psychogeography to access a liminal hypnagogic perspective shift, this piece explores enigma, mirage, dowsing, and puts a tongueless Kafka underwater. A soundscape mixing live singing and recorded music produced by The Why Collective restages the underwater choral theme from the Czech "Little Mermaid," while a performing ensemble of dancers/actors ages 28-78 present a series of disjointed, rapidly-changing, surreal dance-theater vignettes.
