Welcome to the drag cabaret Fummelcabaret with a mix of stage artists presented by the Berlin collective Rat der Ranzigen and guests.

In the familiar space of Roter Salon, the startling show of convetional and unconventional queer arts begins. Colourful figures of Berlin’s night clubs and bars will present a potpourri of song and dance, travesty, drag and burlesque, in a clash of the vulgar and the common, DIY autodidactics and high culture. The spectacular show offers insights into the world of the self-styled kings and queens and drag artists.

Three hosts will guide you through the evening and introduce the guests:

Drag King Günther Geil, burlesque artist Rana Hava, who was recently elected Princess of Amore 2024 in Rome, and the singing Queen of Berlin: KAEY!

Fummelcabaret is going to condense the wonders of queer art in one single night, oscillating between sticking it out in the era of late capitalism and the urge for freedom and a self-determined life. We will celebrate the beauty of the individual and imperfection, the joy of a twinkling in the eye and not taking yourself too seriously.

The Berlin-based queer collective Der Rat der Ranzigen found together on New Year’s Eve in 2017, by chance in some cold and damp backstage area. They quickly established themselves as reliable guarantors of highly informed sleaze. Councillors are Brigitte Oytoy, Felizitas Navidad, Lana del Gay, Lana Labia and Vivienne Lovecraft, and others.
