Sei nell'anima” tour takes the Italian rock singer to nine German cities from November 2024, including Munich, Hanover, Frankfurt and Berlin!
Gianna Nannini is back to leave her mark on the world: The new project, which includes an album, a film, a book and a tour, is named after one of her best-known hits: 'Sei nell'anima'.
The album“Sei nel l'anima” will be released on Friday, March 22 (via Columbia Records/Sony Music Italy) and is Gianna Nannini's new soul fairytale.
It is the result of the exploration of one of her absolute favorite sounds, that of Afro-American music, which she had already begun with her last album “La Differenza”, inspired by the blues and recorded in Nashville. “Sei nel l'anima” now contains twelve previously unreleased tracks that the Italian rocker wants to share with her beloved audience.
“In my opinion, songs are created from key concepts” - explains Gianna. “I started with 'anima', the Italian word for soul. Every country has its soul and I was searching for mine. This search became a mission that guided me in the composition of the album's twelve tracks.”
“Sei nel l'anima” bears the prestigious signature of producers Andy Wright (Massive Attack, Jeff Beck, Simply Red) and Troy Miller (Amy Winehouse, Gregory Porter, Diana Ross), with producer and guitarist Raül Refree (Rosalia, Guitarricadelafuente) also involved in the album, which is available on all digital platforms as well as in physical format on vinyl and CD.
The release of the album is accompanied by the brand new single “Io voglio te”, which was written by Gianna Nannini in collaboration with Alex 'Raige' Vella and Mauro Paoluzzi. The accompanying video was shot on the streets of London at night by director Marc Sloper.
The movieThe accompanying film “Sei nell'anima” will be available exclusively on Netflix from May 2: It shows an excerpt from her story up to the age of 30, from childhood to her first successes, via a turning point that drastically changes Gianna's path, so much so that she believes her true birth was in 1983.
The bookThe film is a free adaptation of her autobiography “Cazzi miei”, published by Mondadori and reissued for the occasion under the title “Sei nell'anima (Cazzi miei)”.
The new edition, which includes a new foreword discussing the connection between the pages of the book and the film adaptation, will be published to coincide with the film's release.
