Fauna and Erich Zann Ensemble

The evening at Schokoladen promises a double musical experience with the sound artists from Fauna and the Erich Zann Ensemble. Here you can lose yourself in worlds of sound and dance until the boards get hot.

Fauna (SWE)

Fauna conveys an organic, psychedelic & danceable experience. The music is a meditative ritual where listeners feel enveloped by rhythms. They are pulled through thorns and bushes by a powerful, volcanic pulse. Time and space lose all meaning on a mind-shattering journey through the forest.

Erich Zann Ensemble (DE)

The Erich Zann Ensemble is a variable line-up of musicians around bassist and electronic musician Frank Incense. In the slightly surreal world of the ensemble, various shades of pop music mix with slightly surreal, barely tangible sounds somewhere between neo-kraut, psychedelic, pop music, ambient, electronica and jazz. Originally planned as a pure studio project, the ensemble recently began performing free interpretations of the tracks from their debut album "Bieber Sessions", released in 2023, in a trio formation. The band develops their hypnotic soundscapes over an electronic foundation created by a modular synthesizer. As improvisation is a central element of the Erich Zann Ensemble, no two concerts of the trio are the same: From repetitive motoric kraut to relaxed psychedelic ambient and sprawling acid rock, anything is possible.
