From Sufi Dub to Tanzanian Bongo Flava to Balochi Benjo sounds from Pakistan: the open-air music festival DURCHLÜFTEN presents concerts and DJ sets across continents and borders on four summer weekends (18 JULY - 10 AUGUST), each Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 19:00 in the inner courtyard of the Humboldt Forum - for free and outdoors.

With her new album MRA, Emel presents a hard-hitting and highly danceable redefinition of her sound – powerful hip-hop meets feverish pop melodies and pushing reggaeton. MRA means ‘woman’ in Arabic and was written, conceived and produced exclusively by and with women. As with her debut album Kelmti Horra (‘free speech’ in Arabic), the music sees itself as a manifesto, and as a soulful yet clear soundtrack for the coming revolutions – or as Emel would say: ‘My voice has no limits’.
